My name is Nick and I take photographs.

My photography has changed over the years and I now find myself using almost as much film as digital after a period of only taking digital images. The attention and patience required to take a good film image has forced me to think more about what I am looking at and what it represents to me.

I've lived in and around Aberdeen since 1998 when I first came here while studying at Manchester University. I met and fell in love with Clare and soon moved to Aberdeen permanently.

I've always been a keen outdoors type and the Cairngorms have become a great substitute for my native Pennines. I work, along with many in Aberdeen, offshore though I spend as much time as I can behind a camera.
